The Seeker

A young seeker once went to see a holy man up in the mountains

to get answers to all the questions that haunted him since long

When he entered the simple hut the wise resided in

the holy man sternly looked at him and only said

“I hope you did not come because of me!”

The young man left, and thought about that for a long time

One year later he returned

He entered the lonely hut where the holy old man lived

and as the wise saw him he smiled and said

“Well,...I hope you did not come because of you!”

The young man left again and thought about that for a long time

One year later he returned

He entered the poor hut where the wise waited

and as he stood before him the holy man whispered

“So now...I hope you did not come because of us...”

And the matured seeker answered:

“No my honorable host...

I did not come at all...

I am here now...!”
