The Tent-Spider

Okay

I did not think this through to the end

but I throw it on the table anyway, listen:

There is a spider-species called the 'tent spider'

and what the little male gender does

as many of their clansmen get killed

or eaten by the female

it hunts a fly or even takes a stick

spins it neatly into a cocoon

and carries it as a gift to a female of choice

In a most refined and graceful act

it gets offered gently and as soon as the female

is attracted and curious and opens the dowry

the male takes his chance

penetrates the busy enthused female

and quickly leaves to save his life!

Sometimes even

to take his present with him

that he discretely had fixed on a thin thread

to offer it to another lady then!
