There is a long tradition

of throwing coins into fountains

for the sake of luck and some promising future

And there is a new phenomenon

of lovers

attaching padlocks to bridges

as a promise and commitment

for everlasting love....

Lovelocks!

I feel a bit like a sly trickster

or a little rascal now but:

was it not Dr. James Lovelock

that framed the Gaia Hypothesis

saying stating imagining

that the Earth can and should be seen

as a holistic, intelligent, self-regulating Being

an organism that entropically

reorganizes herself constantly

for the evolution and sake of all life?

Well, seeing what is

in this crucial and groundbreaking age

there is only one suggestion for mankind

I can think of:

Build a new bridge of consciousness

of relation to this Mother-Planet

and

tie a big fat smacking-kiss Lovelock to it!

...there is nothing else on my agenda....
