A Lattice for the Kiwi-tree

We were pruning our fruit-trees lately
one of it is a Kiwi
oh these Kiwis, how wildly they grow within a year
the Kiwi is a vine you know
it darts out numerous octopus shoots
in search of something to hold on to
whatever they reach they entangle, sometimes...strangle
and if they find nothing they turn
and wind around themselves
creating knots and clutter
they have to be pruned rigorously...and thrive of it
We did not give that Kiwi a proper lattice
to be honest...which is a problem to ponder about
it was everywhere, holding on to anything solid
entangled in itself too...you see, you see
and I looked at that unstable creature
and what it resembled for me
and I state this metaphor:
A true healer can look into the whole being
from it's curled knotted branch-ends
back into the very roots
he can energetically trace back a twig
through all twists and turns and
cut it!....right where it is necessary
right after a sleeping bud and
in that bud, as it is with most trees
is the memory and possibility imbedded
to become blossom and fruit, leaf, a new branch or even root
I have cut the Kiwi back harshly
to a solid, harmonious build-up, right after nice buds
and I built him a proper lattice!
It is on him now though to grow and decide
for leaf, for branch, for blossom and fruit
to freak out or to follow the solid framework
it's all there
it is all about befriending now
There is a purpose in the buds you carry
dear branch of the tree of life...
